The Many Saints of Newark 2021
The storytelling of this film is so horrendously bad. The whole time i was watching the film i was wondering who's story this really was.
When it was done i felt i wasn't told a story at all, it was more just a collection of episodes.
Feels like they intended on making this a series but had to cram everything in a 2 hour film.Translated from by -
Leningrad Cowboys Meet Moses 1994
Kaurismaki takes the themes of the original Leningrad Cowboys even further in the sequel, bringing them on a biblical journey across USA and Europe on their way back home to Siberia.
The film is full of political and religious allegory, critiquing how humans always need to rule over others and saying a few things about how money is the new religion.

To Each His Own Cinema 2007
This is what true escapism is, factory workers going to see a silent short film in their lunch break about people leaving the factory.

The Architect 2023
A condense and intelligent mini-series that is set in a dystopian near future Oslo. It's dystopia could almost apply for the present day. I loved how they have really trimmed the fat off the story and it ends in a thoughtful but abrupt way.
The handheld camera and classical music really made me think of Lars Von Trier!
