My only complain is that they are times prioritized the romance over the actual tragedy. I didn't really care for the love triangle and was more focused on the other points of the movie, apart from it I just have to say that the way this movie made irreversible psychology and emotional damage to me is crazy, it was the closest thing I experienced to grief, It hit me so bad I didn't even cry I felt just a pitiless…

This movies might have converted me into the horror genre ngl. Here are the aspects I loved:
1) the historical accuracy
2) the cinematography and acting
3) how this wasn't just a jumpscare after jumpscare type of movie, it had a story and a narrative, and good one
4) the themes, especially showcasing how puritan the Victorian society was, making it part of the horror,
5) the overall seriousness of it, the people involved clearly took the story seriously
