  I don’t think any of the other Texas Chainsaw sequels are quite this unhinged. A candy colored nightmare where everyone’s screaming and Leatherface pops a boner with a chainsaw. What more could you want?

  Furious is the kind of movie you’d wake up to in the middle of the night and wonder if you were still dreaming. A low budget martial arts phantasmagoria featuring a cackling villain, a whispering statue, and lots of chickens.

  Love Woven in the Stars is the epilogue to the Knights of Sidonia TV anime that premiered on Netflix nearly 8 years ago. It was long rumored there would be a third season that would adapt the final five volumes of the manga series, but Polygon Pictures opted for a theatrical finale instead. It’s a satisfying enough conclusion that does a mostly decent job of wrapping things up.

  Ghost Hound 2007

  Ghost Hound is basically Ryūtarō Nakamura and Chiaki J. Konaka’s Twin Peaks. It’s an ambitious TV anime chock full of ideas tied to ghosts, paranormal occurrences, out-of-body experiences, religious cults, and the like.

  It explores the small town of Suiten through the eyes of three boys who each suffered through a personal trauma in their childhood. They investigate the strange occurrences in their town together and how they might be related to their pasts.
