Parasite 2019
This movie was really damn good. I did not know a lot about it going in which was probably for the best. All the twists and turns were absolutely fantastic and kept me captivated the entire movie. While I do not mind subtitles I really wish I could have listened and enjoyed the cinematography. I have seen pretty much every best picture nominee and think this is by far the best movie of the year. I could say a lot more but it would just be best to go see it, the less you know the better.

The Departed 2006
Damn this movie is good. This star stuffed cast delivers a great movie behind a great director. My only problem with the movie is Jack Nicholson. He was given a role he could do so much with but ultimately falls short. However the back and forth mole looking for mole is as captivating a story as any. This movie has some incredibly cool scenes and makes great use of all its star. A must watch.

The Lighthouse 2019
The Lighthouse was almost exactly what I thought it was going to be. It used unreliable narrators to create a confusion for the viewers that was enjoyable. I was really pleased with both acting performances. However I couldn’t help but feel that there was something missing. There was just something a little more I wanted out of it.
