It was fine. Austin Butler really does embody Elvis, so the attention he’s gotten is well-deserved. I’m just not a fan of Baz Luhrmann’s style and tendency towards overindulgence. Good if you like to get stressed out and yell “No, don’t do it!” but aren’t into horror films. Aubrey Plaza and Theo Rossi carry this increasingly tense indie thriller/character study about what happens when you keep making poor decisions to pay the bills. An interesting commentary on class dynamics and the current catch-22 of student debt.
