The Green Knight 2021
Finally got to see this, it didn't disappoint. This is one of the most visually stunning films I have seen in a long time. The first thing that struck me was the lighting, great use of light and shadow, lots of terrific low light scenes. The lighting direction was definitely Oscar worthy. Just watched this beauty again, one of my all time favorites. Cheesy, camp and silly, but just a fantastically entertaining romp. De Palma uses all of his usual tricks, the long first-person tracking shot, the extended split screen scenes occurring in real time, the forced perspectives. It all adds to the off- kilter charm.
