One of the best war flicks and arguably the best WW1 movie since Stanley Kubrik’s Paths of Glory. Sir Roger Deakins is in his bag with the brilliantly filmed masterpiece and using cinematography as proof that it can excel the storytelling of a film. Great story and great Direction by Sam Mendes. Criminal this only won 3 Oscar’s out of the 10 it was nominated for.

Oliver & Company 1988
Didn’t remember this one and hadn’t seen this in years. Much more enjoyable than I had remembered. Billy Joel and songs by Huey Lewis lead this animated feature. Disney excelled for years making 70-80 minute animated non woke features. Might be time to go back down that avenue hint-hint.

Bong Joon Ho off recent success def takes a massive swing with this sci-fi that never really decides what it wants to be. This is not my type of movie but I can appreciate some of the cool features. Robert Pattinson is a great actor, and some of the production design is great.
