  Yorkshire born. Yorkshire bred. Strong in ‘t arm. Thick in ‘ed. 

  Sean Bean playing a 16th century Italian with a broad West Yorkshire accent is exactly what I needed.

  Using my London commute wisely to clear out my watchlist. 

  In all honesty, this is gorgeous and unfolds like a painting, nuff said!

  Immediately called my Nan after watching this.

  I cried. I laughed. I wept some more. Film of the year? Yeah g'won then.

  Boonnitipat nailed down the family unit and all its nuances. People are the same everywhere.

  The music is fucking lovely too. It is absolutely soaring.

  Apparently 5 beers are not recommended for viewing this film - or maybe they are? A ciggie would have been more appropriate no doubt.

  Anyway, it took a scroll through my colleagues Letterboxd to jog my memory that we had indeed watched it at all.

  From what I can remember, I did visually enjoy it but could not for the life of me tell you what it was about?
  Did his old man own a hotel? There was a pig involved at some point I'm sure? And there was a lass with bleached blonde hair? That's about it from me.

  Will re-watch sober and rate accordingly.
