  If Ephraim Winslow is Prometheus/Lucifer then Thomas Wake is Zeus/God. 
  Think about it.
  Winslow defies Wake in his pursuit of knowledge of the light. Wake shows authority but it’s left unclear whether he has it or took it. Winslow steals what wake won’t grant him, and for it he is punished.
  On the surface it’s about what isolation does to man but within that it’s about man’s struggle between divine authority and personal interest.

  Only Eggers could have done this movie the justice it deserved. Eggers is a perfect match for Nosferatu. It’s exactly the original, but also nothing like it. It’s the same movie ten times over and polished. 
  Lily Rose-Depp, Nicholas Hoult, and Bill Skarsgard acted their ASSES off. 
  The psychosexual themes work so, so well. You can really feel the pull and darkness of Count Orlock pervading throughout each scene.
