  You’d think a biopunk “erotic” thriller would be a sure win for David Cronenberg; but this was a very uninspired and plainly simple film.
  Both the special effects and practical effects were jarringly bad and unimaginative. Dialogue was awkward and I couldn’t  unsee the set.
  Send this movie back to the chopping block and try again.

  A dreamlike/ nightmare-esque telling of Norma Jeans life and career as Marilyn Monroe. This is not your typical feel good biopic that follows the same step by step tropes where a star rises, falls and then rises again after learning and regaining their humanity. Instead this is an almost 3 hour art film of the abuse and expectations put on Marylin from the industry and the men she was with. 
  Scenes flow from one to the next in a disconnected dreamlike flow similar to a film from jodorowsky or david Lynch.
