"You are emotional, which is understandable, but unnecessary."
A story that should be told. From doing a little reading, the film seems it mostly followed real life events. An incredibly inspirational story and a delight to watch.
Didn't have the power and inspiration that the first film had, fell a bit flat for me. Still continued the story well and was intriguing; although at times felt frustratingly similar to the first film. A similar story, with potential for epic-ness, but less compelling and with more gore - giving a coldness to the overall feel of the film. Also disappointed that the score was fairly minimal.
"There's a reason you don't drink alcohol on Christmas eve." [Wild car swerve ensues]
Fun to see a Norwegian Christmas and fun it's based on a true story. But otherwise very predictable and a bit flat in it's delivery. Some overly cringey moments.
"We each need to find our own inspiration, Kiki. Sometimes it's not easy."
“The spirit of witches, the spirit of artists, the spirit of bakers. I suppose it must be a power given by God. Sometimes you suffer for it.”

Visually delightful and magical. I also enjoyed that they threw in a ballet show scene. While watching I realised there are a lot of similarities between The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Sugar plum was at times a little too strange and kind of creepy for a villain of what is in essence a kid's story.
Main take home - I now want my own mouserinks to perch on my shoulder at all times.
Voley: "Something on your mind Sean?"
Sean: "I've been thinking..."
Voley: "Ah nothing wrong with that, in fact I'd encourage it."
Childhood favourite, I think I might actually enjoy it more as an adult. An emotional journey (had me tearing up throughout) with many funny moments. Beautifully illustrated, lovely music and just very charming. Need to make this a staple for winter watching I think!
"Lila's back in New York. I got a letter from her yesterday." "What happened to her millionaire?" "Slight mistake there. He didn't own millions, he owed them." "Poor girl. Always straying to greener pastures and finding spinach."
Some great comedic moments - many a great one liner and some great physical comedy, I reckon a bit reminiscent of some of the silent movies. Messy love triangles, tip-top tap dancing, smashing songs, holiday vibes - beginning and ending with Christmas. The…
Met the brief: warm, cozy, feel-good movie filled with Christmas vibes and aesthetics. Not the best acting or most original plot, also pretty predictable. But I actually had a really fun time, some laugh out loud moments and really enjoyed the soundtrack.
"Now, prepare to sass and sparkle!"
