Fits fairly appropriate into the timeline but completely lacking in depth to the story. Other notable weaknesses include nonexistent character development, lifeless visuals and atmosphere, and very underwhelming action sequences.

Alien: Romulus 2024
RUTHLESS, BRUTAL AND FUCKING SPINE-CHILLING —Arguably the best Alien movie since Aliens (tied with Alien: Covenant to be honest). Couldn’t really describe how fucking terrifying this movie is other than to ask you to experience it for yourself. The dark atmosphere, blaring sound designs of the spaceship, flawless presentation of the ‘Xenomorphs’, and the raw emotions from the performance of the incredible cast are some of the many great things about the movie. Lastly, the final act of the movie is single-handedly THE MOST bizarre and traumatising sequence in the entire franchise and I’m sure it’ll stuck inside my head for a damn while.
