  still sitting with this one, but andre holland is magnificent—as he always is whenever he’s on the screen. he did a q&a afterwards that was dope and insightful.

  when kari and I left the theater he was outside with a bag of popcorn just chillin’ with all the movie goers, chatting and taking photos. dude has an effortless cool about him and it was refreshing to see. 

  the movie may work for some and not for others, but it definitely worth a watch.

  thank you maya cade for using the power of social media to kickstart the restoration and rerelease of this 90s gem of a film. sliding in the DMs has never been so successful! it was so great to experience this in a theater with the director, as well as the cast and crew. a beautiful, warm experience on the screen as well as in the theater. a unique kind of movie magic.
