  the cgi simply doesn't look good enough; i kept getting pulled out of the world over and over again when i would notice a lack of shadows or reflection on pokemon that made it too hard to buy into their existence in the realistic world. i loved seeing small details and easter eggs and ryan reynolds was fantastic, though.

  low budget, silly and dumb but i had so much fun watching. the practical robots are genuinely beautiful and the kills are super entertaining. the cast is great and had played the jokes well. soundtrack was fantastic

  the best lizard movie i've seen so far. protagonist goated with the sauce and the camera lense was wiped down with the sauce as well, consequently making every shot goated with the sauce.

  my favorite movie of the year. everything i loved about alien 1979 is here but amplified to new levels for the franchise. one of the best third acts of any movie i've ever seen and the designs and power of these aliens are really brought to life with all of the practical effects. i loved covenant, but i hope that the next couple of films follow the lead of this one and keep the story small and horror big.
