The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

    ★★

I swear, if Ian Macellan was not in these movies they would genuinely be a consistent 1 1/2 star dumpster fire of an franchise. It's still a franchise I'm never watching again in good faith or in general.

If I have taken anything to learn from these collosal disappointments, it's a greater appreciation for The Lord of the Rings and how epic, well-made, and beautiful every detail was tailored and thought out.

    The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

    ★★

I guess it would be fair to say all the good attributes first...ummm. I enjoyed seeing Gandalf again, Ian Macellan is always great, the mountain trolls were fine enough to add to this movie, 40 minutes probably should have been shaved o- wait I need to say positive things.

Actually that's all I really have besides the callbacks, although even the one with us the audience seeing Frodo again was just so cheap.

I'm already starting to miss the Lord of the Rings trilogy and I still have a possible two worse installments of this Hobbit trilogy.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good Lackadaisy was. Besides the generic goons for that black antagonistic cat. Everything else was extremely authentic if you know what I'm trying to convey.

Rocky was charismatic and unhinged, a great and intriguing combination for someone like me who both loves knowing a character's motivation's and craving that dashing element of unpredictability.

Ivy and Freckle's blossoming and I'll be blatant, obviously foreshadowed relationship was very enjoyable for this whole pilot in general. The entire character list and casts's kinetic chemistry was just as fun and engaging.
