I think this movie is okay. not a fan of fred, he is kind of a dick and has little development, just a different take on Fred that the writers have that I don't really like. The characters don't really solve anything - they just discover something or the plot happens to them and the mystery is revealed at the end.
I haven't done any research or anything but I feel like there is a whole element of the movie…

the weakest of the scooby doo stenstrum trilogy, overall still decent but has nothing on the others. it's kinda just a wacky adventure with not much mystery to it, the best part though is when past versions of the characters show up

Scooby-Doo! Meets the Boo Brothers 1987
The first half of this movie is mostly chase sequences, and the Boo Brothers were annoying; good cop representation though - the Sheriff is dumb as hell. I don't know why people hate Scrappy so much, he carries the team in this one. Not sure why Shaggy's recently deceased uncle is a confederate soldier though. I hope this isn't the standard for the rest of the Scooby Doo movies I have yet to watch.
