Teen Wolf 1985
As someone who grew up loving the 90’s goosebumps tv series, this film was right up my ally. A super fun watch!
The acting was on point without ever feeling too campy or over the top. The pacing was great, managing to deliver an entertaining and well told story. Over all the atmosphere and mis en scene is phenomenal and definitely appealed to me, yes I have a slight bias here being obsessed with the 80’s. Ok I am very late to this one but here’s my thoughts. Following my love for long legs I immediately fell in love with osgood Perkins, particularly his editing and cinematography, so due to this I was externally excited for this film given it is his next feature after long legs. Wow, wow, holy crap.
This film is absolutely breath-taking and chilling, commenting on the human condition through the exploration of philosophy and obsession and desire.
Whilst the acting and music definitely help to heighten the weight and meaning behind this film, oddly I want to get away from those technical elements and just focus of the feeling of this film. This is brilliant and leaves you feeling stunned and altered in the greatest way possible.
