Edge of Tomorrow 2014
Probably the best sci-fi action in many years at the time of its release. Creative usage of a relatively unique premise. Amazingly creative visual design on the aliens.
Emily Blunt is really cool and uses a giant sword. Tom Cruise continues to be an actor with inexplicably superhuman charisma that baffles the world's top minds.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi 2017
Rian Johnson doesn't understand Star Wars, so instead of making something people would like, he made something that tries to be provocative and subversive in a series with no business being that. He spits in the face of JJ's (albeit poorly thought out) storylines and just does whatever.
The plot is scattered, the characters barely resemble those that were fun to meet in Episode 7, they butchered Luke Skywalker so hard it drove the light from Mark Hamill's eyes. Humor…
