A short documentary shot in Jasper, Texas following the violent lynching of James Byrd Jr. Chilling interviews from older members of the black community simultaneously admit that things are better than they have been, even in the wake of Byrd being beaten, chained to a vehicle, and dragged for three miles by three white men.

My first dive into David Lynch. I was pretty skeptical of this film about a third of the way through. At first, I found the story semi-silly and oddly straightforward for a director with such an infamous reputation behind him.
