Immediately so important to me. Can’t express the comfort I felt watching this as someone who sort of contently grew up around poverty, hoarding, filth, badass little kids, etc. Korine’s whole “mistakism” thing is exactly what I’ve been trying to gratify when I talk about movies like this. In fairness, it was a heartbreaking one. I hate for anybody to have to live through something like that. I’m glad, though, that Korine was willing to compliment these ugly, boring parts of life that people like myself have grown to value. Honestly excited to watch it again.
