Watched this movie expecting it to be a “ball is life and life is love when you’re with the bros” flick and it wasn’t. Pleasantly surprised by that. About 20 mins too long but I think that I might have been on purpose. Saw it because my dog died a few days ago and my boyfriend told me we should get out of the house. Would I have seen it on my own? No. Did I appreciate it more than I expected? Yes.

Was not expecting this movie to make me cry. Not just because of the sad scenes but just also because of the artistry, thoughtfulness (Chenoweth/Menzel reveal), and Cynthia Erivo’s powerful performance.
