  this was playing at film forum in 2015 and my dorm was only a 10 minute walk away so we spontaneously decided to catch a PM showing, literally running there with minutes to spare. I don’t remember much but maybe it’s time to revisit the ark. you think you will arrive there, unspoiled, pristine, a privileged traveler. but actually the ark will touch you and then move past you, unbridled.

  was honestly such a letdown for me... mikey madison is so vivacious and vibrant and bursting with life and sean baker does not know how to do anything with anora besides throw her into a looney tunes uncut gems 24 hour bender. a life unlived for a promising character is more tragic than any working-class-trauma-p0rn that he made up to sell the grit of this story
