EVERYBODY GET MORE WOKE NOW!!
really well made movie about that caste book that my mom read a few years ago. tied together some themes that have been on my mind of late. eye opening despite being very sad (i cried). i don’t typically love ava duvernay’s movies they always feel too nonfiction/adaptation/struggle-like but this one was okay maybe because the market isn’t too saturated with black trauma movies anymore lol. watched with my mom and aunty since their other book club member couldn’t make it.

hell yeah intersex pope!!!!! i think there were supposed to be more subtitles but we just went along not understanding the italian/spanish/latin. it was still good and i got the idea so yay. i loved the visuals and the music, i’m excited to use that gif of lawrence walking with the turtle now.
