  This movie felt like it could have worked independently of the Batman/DC Universe. 

  I didn’t like the soundtrack much. I didn’t feel it was always appropriate for the scenes. There is some social commentary and it tends to be pretty overt, but I feel like that may just have been shoehorned in.

  Joaquin Phoenix’s performance is solid. Arthur’s struggle to maintain normality in his life despite his mental illness and the awful things that happen in his life is illustrated…
