  Hugh grant makes a lot of moony faces and is pretty insufferable. A few good moments, but overall plot is nonsense. I liked the side characters.

  Jesus Christ! Jeff Goldblum should be a lead actor in way more stuff, he’s truly one of a kind. He was going to be the first insect politician! Very gross, very tragic, but also romantic and very funny. Didn’t drag at all IMO.

  The dialogue felt like it was intended to be snappy but comes across as forced and cringey. Characters are lacking in depth, Plot is mostly nonsense and feels inconsequential. On the plus side, it’s a good looking movie. I’m partial to movies from this pre 2000s pre digital era, they have a very warm look that really draws me in. Tom cruise probably the only reason I finished this. Even in slop like this he gives a reasonable effort that makes me want to watch more of his early work. Might try risky business or color of money next…
