Django Unchained 2012
A goddamn action packed cowboy flick, too badass to be contained. With every actor giving it their all with too many standouts to choose from. Music and needle drops were on point, and the camera work and lighting made every shot feel lived in.
Out of all of Tarantino's films, this one may be overlooked. But it's quality speaks for itself. Do yourself a favor and see it if you haven't.

Serenity 2005
While there's some fun to be had in this movie, as a continuation of the show it's extremely disappointing. They tried to wrap up as many plot lines as possible and just fail to do so. Characters like Inara and Book didn't need to be in the movie whatsoever since they serve little to no purpose. The action scenes felt less like a space western and more star wars. Plot revelations felt hackneyed and unearned.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978
Surprise Donald Sutherland movie.
Excellently directed movie with a really creepy score. An all-star cast that all killed it. Not many practical effects, but the ones that were there were really good, real goopy.
Really awesome suspense throughout, with a very fun climax.
Overall liked it way more than what I was expecting.
