This film reminds its audience of the malignant and appalling nature of Australia's history and ongoing mistreatment of First Nations People and POC through its depiction of corruption pervading a rural town, people and police force. The darkness, racism and death that suffocates the town is cut through an innocent boy named Charlie who attempts to navigate this harsh world, as well as his own life.
