  Did myself a huge disservice by watching this on my shitty laptop 5 years ago. The sound design is so overwhelming in theaters- the suffocating drones add so much to the atmosphere. I feel like I understand the intricacies of the plot even less than on my first watch, but now that I've seen more of Lynch's work, I get The Vibe a lot better.   This was my first Lynch viewing since he passed and the shady website we were using to watch it glitched out towards the end & randomly played audio from 5 minutes ahead on top of what was already happening. There was a point where Mysteries of Love layered over itself at the end and it felt so perfectly Lynchian I couldn’t help but well up
