To Catch a Killer 2023
To Catch a Killer follows a pretty standard serial killer formula, so it’s not super original. But the performances help carry it—Shailene Woodley is solid, and Ben Mendelsohn brings some weight to the story. It’s set in Baltimore, but honestly, you wouldn’t really know it. The movie doesn’t lean into the city’s vibe at all, which makes the setting feel kind of generic. Still, if you’re into crime thrillers, it’s a decent watch.
