A Complete Unknown 2024
Passion, ambition, tension between the old and the new. With a movie like this, it might be tempting to keep it down to the music — but we get a full-fledged story, a glimpse into the humble beginnings of an astonishing artist. Chalamet, whom I usually find a tad bit annoying, did a great job portraying this somewhat eccentric yet likeable character. His vocal performance was pretty good as well. It’s an amazing homage to both the book, two prior movies and the character overall. That is why I’m giving “Wonka” 4.5/5.
