maximum aura, hype moments AND a great script ⁉️

cannot stop obsessing over how stylish and sleek this was. the movie equivalent of a well done steak with zero fat. there’s literally a scene where Fassbender’s character is cooking a meal and his glasses fog up like it’s straight out of an anime. most raw frame of the year.

the biggest aspect hindering this for me was how efficiently everything seems to resolve itself. the writing is so sharp and…

kind of in awe by how maximalist this felt stylistically!! nothing in this felt half-assed at all. potentially the most entertaining performances by Robert Pattinson and Mark Ruffalo in their entire careers. thoroughly enjoyed how much this leaned into the humour coz these actors have expert comedic timing.

‘challengers’ meets ‘EEAAO’, featuring some odd pacing here and there. this movie yearns for a tight 2 hour runtime.

the conflicts faced by Anora don’t lead to everlasting despair, but are forced to…

this movie wants to have the sauce so bad at times, and it almost does. the cinematography, music, costume and set design are all top-notch and would be among the best of the decade. every actor is at their A game and deliver some of their best performances of their careers.

then the story happens and everything crumbles under its own ambitions. it aims to be a feminist think-piece about the freedom of sexuality and the exploitation of women by…
