Upgrade 2018
Now I see why Tesla had an autopilot recall… Damn this movie was hilariously awesome yet also horrifying. The camera work in the action sequences was stellar. The story was a little shallow, and some of the acting was sub par at times, but this was still a really cool movie all around.

The Island 2005
This movie has been stuck in my head for like 15-20 years since first watching it as a kid. It is a really good movie, but I now realize that it was only about the first hour that stuck with me. I love the dystopian mystery theme that the first hour has, but after that, it turns into a typical over the top Michael Bay action flick. Nothing wrong with that, just doesn’t have the same staying power.

Such a creepy movie when I was younger. Definitely still retains that creepiness. Not sure I was vibing with the Mel Gibson playing a reverend thing (him running around the house chasing aliens while trying to be “intimidating” was a bit cheese). But all around pretty solid movie.
