“Betty” “Betty” was something I didn’t realize I needed. That scene, Julia Roberts smiling through tears as she reaches for the hand of the student she least expected to look up to her was deeply moving.
I enjoyed the film, the ideas were there, but something felt incomplete, like it was missing an essential element.
The movie captures the rigid expectations placed on women to be housewives, to follow their husbands as if their lives depended on it. But…
