Nosferatu 2024
It’s quite impressive that Billy Boy Skarsgård could keep an accent up for a runtime of 132 mins that sounded cartoon-Vampire enough to resemble The Count from Sesame Street yet XL-Bully-attempting-to-snore enough to be unwatchably disturbing and, for the most part, not funny.
Be it blood, spit, rain, booze or Aaron Taylor-Johnson, this film was phenomenally wet. Was the film Too Horny or Not Horny Enough? Depends on your mood I guess. Cast were all frankly brilliant. LRD obvs sweeps…

Past Lives 2023
Past Lives, more like Pasta Lives? Not quite. It was most certainly a heartfelt, well-considered watch. Beautifully shot, well acted and carefully and compassionately crafted. Enjoyed the dynamics between characters and dialogue surrounding notions of love and life and such. I related too much to the white guy. Probably a sign to not allow myself the luxury of a video games console. The ending was exactly what I wanted - an emotionally charged adieu in which nobody was the bad guy, nobody got wronged and everybody learnt something about themselves. and well maybe we all did too?
