It's difficult to actual see this film as it's own entity and not just "My Fair Lady" without songs. So many of the lines and beats are the same. Even the musical's songs come out of actual lines in the play which makes the film difficult to watch in retrospect.

It's weird to fan geek out over a performance from a 100+ year old film but every new Lon Chaney film I see, I get why he's still discussed in films. This one was not as good as He Who was Slapped but still entertaining.
