  Thought this movie was extremely average plot wise, which brings down some of the incredible acting. Seems to speak to the heart of French society and young teen discontent, but lacks the subtlety to navigate these complex realities to a suitable conclusion.

  Beautiful cinematography, but the plot was slightly jumbled and riddled with historical inaccuracies, missing some of the most important parts of his legacy 

  Don’t think Joaquin Phoenix was the best actor for the role, but the character of Josephine was portrayed wonderfully
