A beautifully haunting film. I didn’t know what to expect going in and in a way I’m glad. I think if I had known what the movie was about it might not have resonated with me but I felt empty after watching. I think that that’s what Araki had kind of intended with this film however. I probably won’t be watching again but I think that one viewing leaves such a huge impression that you don’t need to.

I started watching this awhile but never got the chance to finish and then I got distracted with other things but I figured no better time than Valentines weekend to come back to this. Masterfully executed film that kept me engaged throughout the whole thing. The world that is built in this is fully realized and fleshed out. Each character feels like an opening into their own little universe. I am definitely going to rewatch soon.
Watching again for like the nine millionth time, and I’m still taken back to when I first saw this in theaters as a kid. I was enthralled then and I still am when I watch this. The effects still hold up incredibly well for an almost 15 year old movie. The scenes of them talking in the bathroom and drinking chocolate milk together are so cute. A fun watch overall
