This movie pissed me off enough to copy and paste this rant to several people in my life:
Take a beautiful stop-motion family film, set it in ancient Japan with gorgeous animation and a charming form of magic that’s based in music and origami. Make me fall in love with the storyteller protagonist and his mother who suffers from depression after a brutal TBI. Introduce themes of loss, grief, and remembrance through shared stories.
