Similar to how I feel towards Shawshank, and Silence of the Lambs, it’s amazing. Not my favorite thing I’ve ever seen, nothing stands out as overly unbelievable, but it is all around amazing.

Poor Things 2023
One of a kind masterpiece, I have so many thoughts about it that I can’t even explain how I feel. I will say that the black and white cinematography, the title sequences that say the locations, and the wide angle shots with the vignette, are some of my favorite visual things I have ever seen. Willem Dafoe goat as always.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Significant improvement from the first and I understand the hype. Unfortunately I just don’t think I care all that much about the franchise. Amazing shots, amazing score, and Denis killed it. Austin butler needed more screen time and not enough people talk about Javier. Javier added little hints of comedic delivery that was needed in the film and him glazing Paul was funny and some of my favorite scenes.

Killers of the Flower Moon 2023
Perfect movie. Perfect score, acting, directing, writing, editing, and everything else that goes in to a movie. It’s an important story, that was told so well, it’s long, but doesn’t feel like it could’ve been any shorter. The only reason I don’t give it a five is purely from an “entertainment” standpoint. I’m not saying it was boring, but it’s not exactly my “type” of movie. But I definitely am glad I saw it. Amazing movie that once again proves Scorsese’s talent.
