Easily the best opening credits I have ever seen.
Blood and Black Lace is visual candy that somehow is able to balance as many characters as there are colors.
Even with the multi-color palette, red solidifies itself as the film’s intrinsic identity. It holds a stark contrast to everything around it; just as the murders feel so out of place in the beauty surrounding them.
Bava managed to slice this film by the throat, and allow itself to flow as needed; and nothing flows with more triumph than chaos.
