  90s crime films are slowly becoming one of my favorite genres, and this feels like the epitome of that. I thought it was pretty wild that a girl who met a guy once was ready to flee the country with him, and even crazier that she was still down on maybe their fourth time seeing each and after finding out he’s a murderer, but besides that great writing

  Not typically a fan of musicals. In fact, the only one I can remember watching is High School Musical and it was ass. However, La La Land was incredible. It being a musical made it feel like watching a play, which makes sense in the context of Mia’s aspirations to become an actress. The ending was also spot on, perfectly executed
