Freedom's Path 2022
Freedom’s path is really a drama about loss and friendship. This movie starts off great with beautiful cinematography and wonderful sound design. It starts to fall flat in the middle as it loses its Civil War flair, and becomes a little mundane and confusing as far as the geography and characters’ intentions/actions. The movie ends on a great emotional note, though a little predictable. If you change your expectations from a grand Civil War film to a drama about two young men bonding and defying the racism at the time, I think you’ll be pleased.
