    This is one of those films that stays with you for a long time. It is paced and shot impeccably, and every single frame pulls you in, even when following something seemingly mundane or transient (that's the point of course!).     So after spending the first 20 mins wondering why DMX was not in this more and realising I was remembering Cradle 2 the Grave, I actually really enjoyed this. It holds up really well even today as a pretty light action film, and being one of Hollywood's first attempts at importing the Hong Kong action film means that it preserves more of the hallmarks of the genre than later attempts. A relatively tightly paced (with a little bit of lag in the middle) satire of bureaucracy in general, and the consequences of bureaucratic self-preservation for women more specifically.
