  I knew from the start this was going to be ridiculous, but I would still enjoy it. Having had a little under a year since seeing it, my feelings have changed a little bit. This is a modern day Showa era Godzilla movie, or should It even be called one? I don't like that Kong is the main focus, as he simply is a giant monkey. Sure, back then Kong was more popular but nowadays, Godzilla definitely is more popular.…

  The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 2013

  Another solid entry. I liked the even more diverse locations such as lake town, Thranduil's Kingdom, and Mirkwood. Still following the company, as they continue to get to Erebor. The highlight here is Smaug, one of the coolest dragons I've seen. One thing I noticed, and this goes for Unexpected Journey, is the softness of the picture. I don't know if it's a transfer issue with the extended editions, but say like Smaug is detailed, but the background is soft. I don't know, but its something I noticed

  I'm underwhelmed, but there was some good. However, this didn't really live up to my expectations. The story is not really necessary, in the grand scheme of things. All it told is how Helm's deep gets its name, and that's really it. It's your standard vengeance plot. Most of the characters, except for Héra, were not interesting. They were mainly there to support her. Compare that to the fellowship in the lotr's trilogy. Sure they help Frodo get to mount…
