I had a lot of fun with this. I would, however, like to see a movie with Southern characters who speak in a slow Southern cadence but who aren't played as total goofuses.

At first, I couldn't get past the distracting tension between the interesting plot and the boring dialogue. This eventually resolved itself as the dialogue got better and the plot got worse.

Such a mixed bag. I thought it captured the braindead non ideology that undergirds these nazi skinhead groups. At the same time, in the Truffaut sense, it glorified all their bullshit.

I was surprised when nazi punk songs showed up on the soundtrack. Did they seriously pay white power bands for rights to their songs? No. Those songs were written and recorded for the movie by presumably non-Nazi musicians. In an ironic twist that encapsulates everything wrongheaded about the movie’s approach, actual hatecore labels have sold bootleg versions of those pretend Nazi songs for the consumption of actual Nazis.
