The anime style is not excellent, but pretty good.
The stories a bit ham handed.
It steals too many lines and concepts from the originals, unnecessary fan service. It’s like a mashup of Denethor-Faramir, Theoden-Rohan, Theoden-Theodred. The oliphaunts.
There’s not much original in this. Animation is cool. Overall ok. Just could’ve been better.
The first bit of this is very well done. Great acting from Natalie Portman. Her dancing - at least to a non dancer like me - is convincing. The settings have great tone and the camerawork is crisp.
The mom is a psycho.

Portman goes full on crazy. Kind of American Psycho but ballet dancers. There are 2 of her. White swan: perfect but held back by a lack of passion.…
A more fun film than I expected (I just didn’t know much about it). So much of a Star Wars (esp. Han Solo and Jabba) borrow conceptually from this. Glad I finally watched it.
