American Honey 2016
Such a picturesque film. It shows you don’t have to approach life in a such a methodical way, although Star didn’t have a lot to lose in the first place. Obviously the movie is pretty unrealistic and glorified homelessness but it still feels authentic like you’re watching some one’s real life. At first I did find some moments cringe but as the movie progressed it didn’t bother me. I thought Star and Jake’s dynamic was delicious and destructive. The sound track was really good and served 2016 musically. The ending was lovely.
