I came to see the dinosaurs kill again, and they did!
Every David Lynch movie I’ve seen over the last few days is my new favorite Lynch movie. I rode the bus with someone on their way to this one (first time seeing for both of us!) and we got drenched in a downpour, then ended up sitting together. This has been the best festival to connect over the magic that David Lynch made.
I got to see this with an award presentation and Q&A with Colman Domingo. He was asked how he hopes this movie will transform viewers, and he turned the question to someone in the audience to say how it transformed them. Struck such a specific note of sadness that I felt deeply. Going to be huge, and I can see myself watching the glow of this movie for a long time.
I felt my heartbeat so clearly during this wonderful movie.
Face hurt from laughing and my friend and I couldn’t stop giggling for an hour after. The absolute extreme of Tim Robinson’s comedy that left us sick with glee.
