I am obsessed with films that converge 19th century supernatural and fantasy characters into one narrative. I’d love to read the graphic novel this is based on. 10/10 vampire. Also, Captain Nemo is the most incredibly rich and interesting character, and the Nauitilus’ fantastic aesthetic qualities show a level of depth (haha) I am completely enamoured by.

Visuals? Amazing. Minions? Viscerally enraging. The Nun is one of the best bits. 70s Kung Fu segue was potentially unnecessary and it introduces magic into the universe of Despicable me?? Also why is Vector alive and like 5 at this point isn’t the gimmick of the first film supposed to be that he’s younger than Gru? Surely by more than 5 or so years right?????? It would make him like in his 40s ??????? I think???!??? Very sweet parental mentoring subplot tho but wish it wasn’t retrospectively introduced I guess? Why am I investing so much energy into this someone help me I’m so severely unemployed.
