  I had never really seen or listened to Wicked before, but the film gave me that rare feeling of truly believing in something—with equal parts hope and awe—for its entire runtime. That bittersweet mix of being so swept up you cant help but fear disappointment yet be thrilled by what might come next. It cut through my cynicism and embraced sentimentality—art, music, and craftwork so joyfully done that it stirred childlike wonder in me. To borrow a cheesy, overused pun: it felt like magic.
